Diagnostics
Medical diagnostics is a crucial element for people’s health and well-being. For this reason, it is important to have reliable and accurate tools available to monitor the body’s vital signs. These include thermometers, pressure meters, and pulse oximeters. Thermometers help to detect body temperature, pressure meters allow you to control blood pressure, while pulse oximeters allow you to check the level of oxygen saturation in the blood. These products are essential for accurate diagnostics and informed health care decisions.
Thermometers
Mercury-free, digital types with rigid or flexible tip, and infrared scanners.
Blood pressure monitors
A variety of blood pressure monitors is available so so blood pressure can be measured while at home or out and about.
Mechanical sphygmomanometers & stethoscopes
Professional blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes.
Thermometers
An accurate reading of a person’s temperature is a vital tool in managing illnesses. CA-MI provides different models of thermometers to satisfy any requirement in monitoring body temperature. Mercury-free types are eco-friendly, digital types have rigid or flexible tip, and infrared scanners are quick and contactless, yet they all guarantee accurate and safe results.
Blood pressure monitors
Blood pressure is the term used to describe the strength with which blood pushes on the sides of the arteries as it is pumped around the body. High blood pressure (hypertension) can put a strain on the arteries and organs, which can increase the risk of developing serious problems such as heart attacks and strokes. Low blood pressure (hypotension) is not usually as serious, although it can cause dizziness and fainting in some people. Monitoring blood pressure is the only way to find out if the blood pressure is too high or too low, because most people will not have any obvious hypertension symptoms.
Sphygmomanometers & stethoscopes
Sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes are two fundamental medical instruments for measuring blood pressure and listening to body sounds.
Sphygmomanometers are used to measure blood pressure, an important indicator of heart and blood vessel health. The device consists of a pump to increase pressure, a pressure gauge to display the reading, and a cuff that is worn around the arm.
Stethoscopes are used to listen to body sounds, such as heartbeat and breathing. It consists of a cartridge, a hose and an earpiece for listening. The cartridge is placed on the skin to collect sounds, which are then amplified by the tube and earpiece.
Pulse-oxymeters
Pulse oximeters are devices designed to be positioned on a finger to get in few seconds the blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2) level, expressed as a percentage. Values above 95% are to be considered natural, and therefore generally good, while the lower they get under that threshold the critical they are (a poorly oxygenated blood does not properly nourish body tissues and organs). The degree of oxygenation or saturation of the blood is a useful predictive parameter to check whether a patient’s respiratory function is adequate. SpO2 is an important parameter for the prevention of critical conditions affecting internal tissues and organic functioning, providing important information to the physician on the possible presence of serious pathologies such as: heart failure, arterial stenosis, ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), pulmonary emphysema, congenital heart defects, cystic fibrosis, critical conditions caused by drugs (allergy or overdose).
